If you’ve not already seen, or come across SnowGuardians, then I hope this short post will help rectify that.
SnowGuardians is documentary on the life and work of Ski Patrollers and search and rescue teams at several Montana Ski Resorts. It’s a visually stunning story following these brave and passionate folks as they work in breathtakingly beautiful landscapes as well as life-threateningly evil weather conditions. As more and more skiers and boarders find their way into the backcountry and offpiste areas, more and more the ski patrol and rescue teams are called upon to save lifes as well as carry out their more daily, and often overlooked tasks of snow-pack analysis and avalanche forecasting among others.
