Deer Valley Resort, Park City, Utah – More big news coming out of Utah this weekend as Deer Valley Resort enters an agreement to purchase Solitude Mountain Resort, with the former scheduled to officially take over on May 1st, 2015.
President and general manager of Deer Valley Resort, Bob Wheaton gleefully said that “Solitude is an incredible resort and provided a huge opportunity for us to expand our offerings right here in Utah,… [the resort] is in a unique position with their widely varied terrain that attracts both local and destination skiers. We are ecstatic to be able to add the resort to the Deer Valley® family.”
Solitude will operate as normal during the coming season, but expect to see some changes next summer. Snowboarders will be delighted to learn that the no-boards policy in place at Deer Valley Resort won’t be affecting Solitude’s pro-boarding reputation.
